Ingredients:
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 500 grams (~1 lb) ground beef
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1½ tablespoons cumin
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup masa harina or other corn flour (masa harina is available in Germany from Amazon)
- 2 14-oz/400-g cans beans of your choice
- 1 14-oz/400-g can tomato pieces
- 2 medium-sized spicy chilis (jalapenos if available), sliced
- pepper
- shredded cheese (optional)
- corn chips (optional)
After one hour, mix the corn flour with half a cup of water until smooth, then add to pot. Stir, then add beans, chilis, tomatoes, and pepper to taste. Simmer 10 more minutes.
Optional: Serve with shredded cheddar and crushed corn chips on top.
